Has anyone experienced this?

I have a marginal cord insertion and my obgyn said it increases risk for hemorrhaging and for the cord to possibly detach from the placenta. He also said there’s a possibility he may have to do a manual removal of the placenta afterward. This sounds terrifying to me because they basically stick their entire hand up into your uterus to remove it.

I’m just wondering how common this is? Has it happened to you?
