My surrogacy birth 🎀

Desirea • Mrs.Gutierrez 2017💍😍 mommy of soon to be two! 💙💜

(Semi long) Now that it’s been a week I finally have time to share my surrogacy birth experience 🎉💕 last Monday (feb 24th) I was making my son lunch and called my husband to check in on him and see how his day was going, he was busy so it was short. I sit down to eat with my son and I got through the first half of my sandwich when all of a sudden I heard a pop! (11:19 am) I froze and my son goes mommy what’s that? 😂 I think he was more so asking why my face suddenly went blank (he’s 3) I told him it’s okay buddy I’ll be right back, as I stood up my pants filled with liquid and I ran to the bathroom to see my panties and pants completely soaked. I called my husband back (it had only been 5 mins) and he goes baby I’m busy I’ll call you back ASAP, I laughed historically and told him “YOU GOTTA MAKE TIME MY WATER JUST BROKE” he starts freaking out and goes okay I’ll be right there. I call my sister in law and she goes okay I’ll be right there too! I start cleaning up the house and getting my son ready, my husband shows up and is in complete panic (while I’m just relaxing and cleaning up) my sister in law finally gets to the house about 20 mins after my water broke and is like are you sure your in labor your acting extremely calm??? I laughed and said yes I’m sure, we finally get on the road to the hospital it’s about 30 mins away (12:10 pm) they got us all checked in made sure it was my water and it indeed was and I was at 4cm. I walked around for about an hour that’s when I couldn’t walk anymore, I was checked and was at a 6 1/2cm. I got into the shower on my hands and knees swaying for about another 40min until I had to be checked again and I only moved to a 7 1/2cm... it felt like it was taking forever when in genuinely wasn’t, it was now around 2pm. She waited till 2:45 to check me again and realized baby was now sunny side up and I needed to keep flipping back and fourth to try and move her it wasn’t working and I was now dying of pain. I was about to opt out for the epidural but she checked me and I was a 10cm it was time to start pushing!!! Dr got in and we began pushing (he had emergency personal in there just Incase my heart stopped due to my previous birth my heart rate dropped drastically and he didn’t want to chance it) 8 pushes in and mine & the babies heart rate start dropping, he has me stop pushing for he can grab the vacuum to assist. 2 more big pushes and my surrogate daughter was born at 3:45pm on February 24th, weighing 6.14 pounds and was 18 inches long. She had an extremely short cord and still came out sunny side up, both our heart rates maintained when she came out. I got a beautiful second degree tear but my gosh was it worth it and I’d do it all over again! Unfortunately her parents missed her birth but it’s like it didn’t even phase them once she was in their arms and that made me so happy!!! Little dumpling was her nickname my whole pregnancy but her parents gave me two names to choose from and I got to name her Cecily 🎀 I feel so honored and blessed to not only been able to carry her for them but be able to name her. My journey as a surrogate mother was nothing but amazing even through the sub chronic hemorrhage, kidney stones, and pre labor at 25 weeks, I loved every second of it! ♥️
