This is probably a really dumb question and google wasn’t much help lol. I’m also a first time mom/this is my first pregnancy so I’m clueless.

I had to be squeezed in at my OB office today because I was feeling dizzy most of the day and almost passed out at work. He said I had an inner ear virus that was affecting my sinuses, as well as some fluid retention in my lower legs and ankles.

He told me to start taking one low dose aspirin a day but I don’t think I fully understand why? Is this to prevent blood clots? Pre-eclampsia?

My blood pressure was slightly elevated when I got there but went down by the time I left. Any info and advice is helpful :)
