Any way to “trigger” ovulation?

I’m nursing and I’m just not ovulating and we want to try again. ☹️

How many months PP are you? Most women get their periods between 6m-12m PP even while breastfeeding. If you don’t have your period then really the only way to trigger ovulation is to cut back on breastfeeding. Everyone has a different hormonal tolerance. I don’t get my period back (so hence ovulate) until about 24 months PP if I nurse on demand (this happened with my second child). With my first baby I was trying to get pregnant again and started slowly cutting down nursing sessions at 18 m post partum. I had to cut out ALL night time nursing and only nurse once a day before my period returned about a month later at 21m PP. So that’s my body’s hormonal limit. If you’re only a few months PP and not planning to cut down on nursing yet then just wait it out - its not typical to be like me and get your period so late.

There are trigger shots I don't know if you're allowed to take them  postpartum but you can ask your doctor
