What? Where did you hear this? Most c-sections are either scheduled for a reason or are an emergency for a reason. You don’t really wait until you’re in labor and just decide to do it.

No they usually do it early to avoid spontaneous labor. At that point is where it can turn into an emergency c section situation. They like to be able to plan it out without added chaos.

Not at all. If a csection is known to be necessary the goal is to never go into natural labor as it can complicate things

No, being in labor during a c-section is more stressful on you and your baby and can cause complications. I’ve had three c-sections. With my first I was already in labor and had major complications and recovery was much tougher and longer. My other two were scheduled at 39 weeks exactly to avoid going into labor before surgery.

No but I wouldn't advise deliberately having a baby before 38 weeks unless medically necessary, I know some people who have had sections at 35-36 weeks just for the hell of it. I didn't know doctors were allowed to deliberately give people preterm babies until then.

No. I wanted to completely avoid going into labor. Both my kids were breech and I chose not to try and turn them. They were both born at 39 weeks. I had no signs of labor.
