what kind of moisturizer??

So I've never had to use a moisturizer before but I'm starting to get dry skin on my face so I don't know what to buy. Any advice or product recommendations would be great! I bought philosophy Take a deep Breath but I don't feel like its doing anything for me and it was kind of expensive so it would be helpful to get some opinions before purchasing anything else

Is your skin flaking? If so I would use a chemical peel (which is a milder exfoliater). Philosophy’s microdelivery peel is my favorite. It’s very gentle and works so well. A little goes a long way and is definitely worth the money. 
For moisturizer I would get something with hyaluronic acid in it. Hyaluronic acid holds its weight in water a thousand times itself. I used to work at Sephora and honestly I haven’t found a moisturizer that I like more than neutrogena hydro boost. It has the H.A. In it and makes my skin feel great. Most stores have it in a sample size as well. 
Just don’t forget to exfoliate about 2x a week. it makes moisturizing pointless if you aren’t taking away the dead skin cells even if they aren’t a lot visible.

Belief Aqua Bomb from Sephora!! It's amazing! My skin is so sensitive to everything, one product my skin doesn't like and I inflamed in acne. But, my skin loves this, so hydrating!

I used to use Neutrogena hydro boost and I really liked it but in the last few months I’ve stopped using Johnson Johnson products and all other non cruelty free products. So now I use Shea Moisture face oil and face scrub. I love it! Also, mixing coconut oil and sugar makes a great scrub too!

Neutrogena Hydroboost! I've struggled with horribly dry skin yet still oily (combination?) And this is the holy Grail for me. It's cheapest on Amazon!
