Foley Bulb Induction? Experiences?

Question

I have to be induced at 40 weeks for medical reasons (if baby doesnt come before) and my doctor will be inserting a Foley bulb and putting me on pitocin. I really didnt want the balloon induction but really dont have a choice because my obgyn is using it to make sure I dilate and then to break my water. What were your experiences with the balloon?

I was already having strong contractions but not dilating when they induced me. It was horrible because of that. In between contractions wasnt bad at all. Gist of it is if you arent having contractions that are strong it shouldn't be to bad.

It was great actually. It didn’t hurt, it was uncomfortable but not painful. I went from 2cm to 5cm in an hour and a half.

I didn’t think it was all that bad personally. It really does seem to make labor longer. I had one with my 3rd and he was my longest 25 hours . But they told me from the get go to expect for it to not be quick process
