Period after implantation bleeding

So my husband and I just starting trying to conceive last month and last week I was supposed to get my period on Saturday but on the Wednesday evening before until the Sunday I had what I thought was implantation bleeding (mostly pink with some brownish stuff and some cramping off and on) and on the Saturday morning I took a test and got a very very faint positive line. Now today (Thursday) I got what seems to be my period (cramping and normal period flow). Has anyone had this happen to them before?
