Can't reach cervix?

Question

So I'm only 17 weeks BUT i havent felt my cervix at all this pregnancy so I thought i'd feel it just cuz I was curious how it felt as opposed to not being pregnant. but when i reached up there i literally couldn't even reach it. this has never happened to me before, is this normal?

1. Stop trying to feel your cervix. You shouldn’t be putting your fingers up there and introducing germs. Clean hands or not, it’s still a risk. Infection is not something you want, especially pregnant.
2. Your cervix moves up very high during pregnancy.

Cervix remains high and closed until labor is near. At 36 weeks my OB tried to check me and it was so far out of reach he couldn’t check for dilation.

When I was getting my cervix checked by a nurse she had to push down on my stomach a little to be able to make sure it was closed. Cervix is going to be high and closed in pregnancy. It's a protective measure.
