Iron transfusions at 33 weeks till baby comes
So my iron has always been low. I had the gastric bypass 6 years ago and it was low before that. But I had my blood work done yesterday and my high risk nurse called me (because of gastric history) and told me I need to start getting them done right away. She literally told me I can not say no to any appointment they offer me. So I start on Monday.
I knew something wasn't right. This is my second pregnancy and never had this with my first daughter. I would get out of breath just from SITTING and talking to someone. Well, now I know why. She told me my oxygen level was less than half of what it should be.
My baby girl is perfectly fine and healthy as I had an ultrasound yesterday as well. My nurse said that this isnt affecting her growth or development and she is getting everything she needs, that it is me who is getting the scraps left over.
Any other ladies on here going through the same thing?
