was your gut right?? (thought it was a boy and it was, vice versa)

i felt i was having a girl now i’m really feeling boy.

My husband and I felt from the very beginning that we were having a girl! Our reasoning was that we couldn’t think of a single boy name that we liked, but we had a multitude of girls names 🤦‍♀️ But, we were 100% right!

I was so certain I was having a girl that I nearly started buying girl clothes. I was even experiencing all the typical “wives tales” for a girl. So it was a big surprise when it turns out I was having a boy, hahah!

I was completely convinced my current pregnancy was a girl. My symptoms were identical to those of my daughter's pregnancy. I had everything chosen out, nursery bedding, high chair, stroller - all with a girl bias. Went for a private scan at 15 weeks and they said it was a boy. Confirmed at the hospital 3 weeks later and at each scan since.
We werent hoping for a particular sex honestly as we have had 3 miscarriages - so we were just over the moon that the pregnancy was going smoothly. But, I can totally see how gender disappointment happens!

With my first pregnancy my gut screamed it was a boy, and he was!
With this second one my husband, son and I all wanted a girl. I wasn’t really sure what my gut felt. But my son was SO convinced it is a girl. He’s not even accepting the fact it could be a boy. Everything is just sister. I had my ultrasound on Tuesday and my son was right!

I was sure I was having a boy. I had a boy baby shower, everything was blue and green, even the ultrasound tech told me TWICE I was having a boy. Right before I delivered they checked for weight and told me it was a 6lb 4oz boy... I had a 9lb 5oz girl. Needless to say she dressed like a boy until she was a year old.

This time I have no feeling yet whatsoever (20 weeks today) I think because I was so wrong last time I’m hesitant to feel one way or another. I guess I’ll find out in July!
