When should I worry??

My little one sucks her thumb a lot all day should I try to stop it

I was a thumb sucker. It sucked (pun intended 😅) to break the habit. I did it until I was 7-8 when I slept. Since I personally knew the struggle, I refused to let my kids ever start this habit. It was always easier for me to cut out the use of a binky than it was a finger I couldn’t take away. 3 kiddos down and 1 in progress to avoid the thumb now 😁

I would start asap. My sister sucked her thumb until she was like 6. My mom tried everything she had to have a ton of dental work because her teeth were horrid.

My oldest is a thumb sucker she’s 7 now she does it still randomly at night still but she’s never had dental problems and her doctor dentist never worried too much

At this age they wont understand . My son chews on his fingers a lot.  It's fine for right now - my PED said it's more concerning around when they turn 2
