Sleeping in Pain - looking for advice or what you've heard

I am 35 weeks with a belly measuring 38 weeks and my baby measuring 36.5 at last ultrasound.

I have been having lighting crotch every night for the last 3 weeks. (Lots of pain & no sleep)

My OBGYN says there nothing that can be done and just try to move my body into a more comfortable position.

After a lot of trial and error, I found that sleeping ON MY BACK at an incline with my legs up, knees bent and kind of splayed out takes all my pain away and I can actually sleep.

(These photos I found online are the best examples of the sleep position I found that works).

And according to an article I found, the sleep position I find relief is a modified birthing position.

I've heard that sleeping on your back while pregnant is a no no, but has anyone heard any different?
