So I looked into this to reassure myself and while they aren't saying ANYTHING about the affects on pregnant people specifically most the cases I can find of pregnant women they ended up delivering preterm/soon after they got symptoms. I'm only 23 weeks so obviously that's a worry for me. I also would like to avoid pneumonia and potential organ failure (both symptoms) but people make out as though that's weird. So far there's no confirmed case in my direct area but the council has set up a website for school closures due to it, and the 3 areas closest to me all have cases. My BIL, SIL and sister are very close to the outbreak too. We've decided to not go visit my in laws for Easter (7 hour coach journey) because it seems silly risking it when the number of cases is climbing so rapidly (and April is meant to be when it is expected to peak here). We aren't locking ourselves away but are definitely avoiding putting ourselves at increased risk.

Sort of just because I'm doing nursing school clinicals on a medsurg floor once a week while 21 weeks pregnant. But I'm also worried about the flu and other illnesses. I try to avoid getting sick patients with something that can spread
