Biopsy while pregnant?

I had a pap done and showed abnormal cells and they are wanting to do a biopsy of my cervix, I am 6 months pregnant. Is this safe? It doesn't seem so..

Personally, I refuse all cervical examinations while pregnant.

Is there a reason they don’t want to wait until after you deliver? It’s only three months, and cervical cancer/abnormal cells grow super slowly. It’s even possible the abnormal cells will be gone after birth.

They wouldn’t do it if it wasn’t safe

Yes it's fine. Although  some doctors  will wait until you give birth. It's just based on preference  but dont freak out you will be okay
