At what centimeter can you get an epidural?

Whenever you want. My sister asked for one immediately lol. She was at a 2 and it worked perfect all the way thru birth.

Where I’m from, whenever you want provided the anesthesiologists is available

My hospital doesn’t really have a dilation restriction or anything. It’s also a continuous epidural though (basically you press a button and more comes out haha). I’ve heard of some people’s wearing off too early because they didn’t get a continuous one so I would check on that.
