Question

I’m curious to see what you gals have used! 
Is it worth getting a crib that transforms into a bed as your child gets older? They can be expensive....
OR 
Is it better to just get a traditional crib and purchase another bed down the line? 
What do you recommend? Brands and links?

Most friends I know that bought transition cribs, never ended up using it as a transitioner...I think ikea has the cheapest and best options since you’ll be using the crib for only a year.. they also have this one on white, and some other nicer options for around $150

This is the one we have. It’s the most expensive crib I’ve ever seen (but it was a gift-thank you mom) and all I can say is - I love the drawers at the bottom. Definitely useful for extra sheets and blankets.

I really like the Fisher price cribs,  my 2 girls currently have the Charlotte and my son had a plain one. It's cheaper and lasted longer than our more pricey graco we got for my oldest. It does convert, but we never used it for that. Most of my friends who bought expensive cribs didn't end up converting it. You have to pay for the kit so it ends up not being with it in my opinion. We just buy a twin.
