Babies 2.5 years apart?

Tell me your experiences! Given the chance, would you have spaced them farther apart? How hard is it really? This momma does not function on no sleep, but I've been blessed to have my first sleeping through the night since 5 months old and my son is such a good kid. We are considering when to start ttc #2. I'm nervous to do the newborn/postpartum business all over again and with a toddler.

Can I weigh in as someone who has a sibling 2.5 years older? Our age gap was great growing up because we were really close, but far enough in age that we didn't compete or have to share the same circle of friends.

My kids are 2 years and 9 months apart. The first 2 weeks were ROUGH. But now the baby is 1 month and it's getting easier.

How well-behaved is your toddler? My little brother and I are 2 years 11 months apart. I was a nightmare baby but an angel toddler. And my brother ended up being a really easy baby. So actually my mom had a way tougher time with me as a newborn than she did with my brother as a newborn & me as a toddler at the same time lol.

2.5 would be a great age gap. I kind of regret waiting until my kid was 2 to start trying and it wasn’t as east to get pregnant this time. Now my baby is due when my kid will be 3.5

My kids are 2 years apart exactly. And I honestly believe waiting 6 more months would’ve been easier. My two and a half year old can talk and is potty trained. Not the case when she was 2 and it was hard.
I think 2.5 years is perfect!

Mine are 2.5 years apart and I wish there was a bigger gap. At 2.5 my first couldn’t comprehend what was going on and I had a crap-ton of guilt about totally upending his life the day my second was born. He adjusted quick but I still wish I’d had more one-on-one time with him. He’s 3.5 now and was talking to me last night about babies in bellies... I wish I’d waited until at least now so he could’ve understood better and been interested in the idea of a sibling. He didn’t care about having a sibling at all, totally foreign concept, and he didn’t care about the baby for a while, didn’t touch him much the first 6 months, which added to my guilt. He’s much better now, always wants to include the baby in his play and stuff, and I’m sure they’re gonna grow up close. Our plan had been 4-5 years between them anyway, but there was a whoopsie, so that unplanned aspect definitely colors my view.

2 years, 9 months apart. My second was a TERRIBLE baby. It was so hard. But I like their age gap. I wish they were a little closer though.

My kids are 2 years and 23 days apart. I absolutely love it.  Sure there are days that are hard. Of course in the beginning we had to get into a routine but once we did it was easy. However, they get along well. Unless one of them is attacking the other. (My 1.5 y/o loves tackling my 3.5y/o.) My son was a breeze as a baby. My daughter was the complete opposite. Even now she's not an easy toddler like my son was/is. I wouldn't change it for the world though.  I love watching them play together, or my son "teaching" my daughter something.
