If both of you are carriers of blue eyes then she could’ve gotten a recessive gene from each of you!
But my dad has brown eyes and my mom has hazel, my eyes were blue for a little over a year and then they turned brown, so hers may not be blue forever either

Blue eyes are created by a lack of pigment. Her pigment may not have developed yet. My nephew had super blue eyes until he was about 18 months, then they became brownish hazel.

The only 2 people on either side who has blue eyes are my dad and my mother in law. Everyone else has brown eyes including husband and I. My sons eyes were bright bright blue til about 1.5-2 years, now they are like a green/hazel. It’s so interesting.

My eyes are really dark brown but my little sisters is like an orange/honey brown. Eye genetics are pretty weird and eye colour can change.
