Promises of God?

Question

Has God promised you a child? How did you know you were hearing him clearly and not just reading into things too much? I am struggling with this cause i dont want to claim something if he didnt even offer it.

God is a promise keeper! Here’s my testimony: January 13, 2019 during Sunday service I was praying for forgiveness for thinking that by having kids it was going to “slow” us down into serving God. I was praying and asking God that I would be content if he would give one baby and that I was very sorry for thinking like that before. My mom came over as I was praying and said to me : “ the Lord wants to know what do you want first, a girl, a boy, ask and He will give it to you” I then went to the altar and prayed for twins (boy and girl) since I couldn’t decide for either or so I prayed for twins. Keep in mind that I had never told my mom what I was feeling or what I was praying for. I believe it and God has confirm me my petition so many times. Even after having a miscarriage He reminds me that he has not forgotten! 
So if you pray and ask God and if it’s His will He will give you the desires of your heart! Just got to have faith! 🙏🏻

I can't think of anywhere in the Bible where God actually promises a child to us believers today. But devote yourself to much prayer. If you cover the decision in prayer He will make His will known to you. I deeply want another child and feel like His answer is 'yes' but not sure yet when that will happen or how. Keep praying and trusting! ♥️
