Well I thought I had gotten my period already despite breastfeeding... 3 weeks later turns out I still had a chunk of placenta in there and needed another D&C! I had one at birth due to retained placenta too. My "period" came about a week after what I thought was the end of my postpartum bleeding, lasted 2 weeks and went away for 3 days, then came back for another week. At that point the bleeding wasn't slowing down, in fact it seemed to be getting heavier so I let my doctor know. Thank God I did! I went in for an ultrasound yesterday morning and that afternoon I had the procedure. My doctor was surprised I have been feeling completely fine, no cramping or pain and I've been exercising without any light-headedness. Hopefully I'm in the clear now and maybe I will get my dream of breastfeeding and not having my period for a while haha! The l&d nurses were excited to see Aria again though. She would only sleep on me here despite us bringing her PNP so I haven't slept a wink while she and my husband are snoozing away! Of course all this in the midst of the mass hysteria. They almost didn't let her stay with me!! I hope you all are fairing well and have enough of what you need! Just figured I'd share in case somebody is having the same issue and not sure if it's their period or something more sinister.
