Ftm here needing all the advice.

I’m 5 days Pp with a lazy baby who can’t seem to stay awake to nurse. She dropped 11% while in the hospital so I was instructed to nurse, pump and give formula this weekend until our pedi apt tomorrow. I try to nurse when I can but she usually only latches for a minute before she falls asleep. So I’m pumping every three hours and only getting about 35 ml combine with both breast at each feeding. I know she only needs to eat about that amount anyways so should I be worried that is all I am able to get? Is that normal. I really only started pumping yesterday as my milk came in day 4. In the hospital they had me pump some just to get the stimulation but not until day 3 pp. the first two there wasn’t much going on in terms or nursing.

So after reading everything I can about pumping I realize I don’t have a let down. My breast never spray milk. As soon as I turn the pump on they start to drop in let down mode then I switch to expression mode and they just keep dripping. Do they need to spray? Or is dripping fine. It’s hard to tell if they are empty after I pump. They still seem pretty hard.

Sorry for the rant, I just wish they explained all this in the hospital so I didn’t go all weekend not knowing what to do.
