Short follicular phase
I (37F) and DH (36M) are on our third cycle TTC#2. It took us 12 cycles to conceive our DD (13 months). We did a full work up for infertility at the 6 to 7 month mark. All my labs were normal as was my HSG. DH had low motility and morphology on his SA (x2) but normal counts. We ended up doing 2 cycles of Letrozole without IUI (just scheduled BD) and successfully conceived on our second try. I didn't have a period again until this January when I finally started to wean our daughter. During our previous attempt to conceive I noticed my cycles shortening. They used to be 28 to 30 days, but they became 26 days on average (23 to 28 day range). Obviously I'm older, but my ovarian reserve was normal per my OB and the fertility doc. This round my first cycle was very light. 28 days later I had my second cycle which was only slightly heavier. My third cycle was closer to normal but started at 25 days. I finally decided to track ovulation this month but didn't start until CD12. The line was slightly dark but not darker than the control and has only gotten lighter since then. I do feel like I may have ovulated (mild right lower pelvic cramping) CD11. So either I have a short follicular phase or I am having an anovulatory month. Drat either way. We did BD several times last week, but I know a shortened phase makes pregnancy less likely. Anyone else experiencing this???
