Frustrated!!

So as we are all aware the school are closing their doors after Friday. So I take that means me and the kids will be self isolating for 2 weeks or however long they close for. But why are they not doing this for workers? I don’t understand they want kids and people to self isolate if they can, but most families are gonna have other half go out to work, and bring these germs home if they god forbit pick it up while they are out 🤷🏻‍♀️ are the government not helping workers yet? As my other half swears the only time he’ll be aloud to self isolate and still get paid is when one of us actually have it and need to all stay in for 14 days... arnt they aloud a choice if they want to put their selfs in self isolation with us to help protect the family. Or is it literally down to the work place and what they offer?

Some schools are staying open for key workers, that's really the most they can do for people who have no choice but to work. It's a really difficult thing to navigate but we still need delivery drivers, retail workers, carers and healthcare staff to be working (amongst a few other jobs). Schools are sorting out home schooling/distance learning though so kids should still be busy during the day, and you can go for walks as long as you avoid crowds and socialising. It's not going to completely stop the spread but it will help slow it.

Hun they won’t be closed for two weeks this will be at least 4 weeks + long at the very least. But are open to key workers children who still need to work. Our country is about to go on lockdown so people just don’t have a choice. Luckily my partner can work from home and I was homebound anyway.

We are not being asked to self isolate, we are being asked to do social distancing, which means you can still go out for walks etc you just need to try and avoid social interaction. I agree it's not going to be easy for anyone, we just need to try and get through it, there are lots of ideas popping up on social media of how to keep the kids entertained etc. My husband and I will both be working from home from monday and will have to tag team looking after our 3 year old.

I do understand, I will be isolating with my 2 children as from tomorow. I'm currently pregnant too, my partner is still being made to work and both me and our son fall into the high risk category. Yet his boss says he wont be paid unless one of us actually catch it. I dont know how we can isolate if hes going to be bringing germs back home. Theres only so much you can do to prevent things.
