No baby shower?

Where are all my mommas that are in the same boat with me?! With everything going on, I’ve honestly been contemplating not having a baby shower for the safety of myself and my baby of course, but my guests. Sucks since this is my first pregnancy and never had anything for “me”. Husband and I got married at the court house due to finances and now this.. SOS.

Mine was set for this weekend and is cancelled. This is our first and only so it’s a bummer to think that we won’t ever get that experience (we are due in May). But at least my friends and family can stay a bit safer.

I feel ya and I’m sorry your going through this. My shower was originally May 17, and then I suggested June 14, and with the hopes the corona virus is gone then we have it but if it’s still a threat then of course cancel. I have people say do a sip and see and I just don’t want too. I feel like I’ve been so stressed that I too just want to cancel. I want to keep all my friends and family safe. 
It’s not a easy decision for sure. 
People have been mentioning a virtual shower, and there’s the sip and see after the baby is born.

I'm in this boat as well, I was very excited. I live in NY, due to the circumstances I decided not to have one. I'm due in july with my first. It sucks as I too was looking forward to celebrating her with my family and friends. I'm just gonna celebrate with a small party after she is born when this is all said and done.

I feel ya, I’m due in August but was supposed
To have my baby shower in May. Unfortunately I live in NY and the state is overwhelmed by the corona virus. I don’t see things getting better anytime soon so we’ve decided to play it by ear but will likely be cancelling our baby shower. This is my second pregnancy but first child. My first pregnancy was a MMC very early on so I’m really bummed my husband and I don’t get to celebrate with our families.

I canceled mine in April. I doubt this virus will go away in a couple of months. Cause in my state we are still having spring breakers partying at the beaches and not really social distancing. The younger college kids think they are invincible. It's crazy how stupid some people are. I know there is younger kids in ICU with breathing machines so no one is invincible. I'm stressed out so much being pregnant. I give birth at the end of june and I just hope that i won't be giving birth alone like most places are doing or I'll loose my shit. Having anxiety is crazy and this is making me more paranoid.

I didn’t have one because I was on bed rest in the hospital for 10 weeks and had my babies 7 weeks early. When they were a few months old we had a welcome party for them. It was great.

I live in Florida and our cases are jumping dramatically. My husband and I decided once the President declared a national emergency to Cancel our Baby celebration.  Being a first time mommy I didn’t want to put myself at risk or my hubby especially because I have Gestational Diabetes as well. Plus I wanted to protect our guest too. I just created a group on Facebook explaining and listed our registries. We’ve been getting a bunch of stuff in the mail.
