So I’m 2 1/2 weeks in to being a mom of 2under2. My oldest is 21 months now and baby obviously 2 1/2 weeks. I expected it to be a big adjustment for my first and I know he’s still young to fully understand but lately anytime I hold the baby to feed him or if he’s crying a bit my older son resorts to pulling on him roughly, hitting or going at the baby’s face, and today pulled his hair. I’ll be the first to say I don’t hold the baby much, I usually feed him then put him in a baby apparatus away from my older ones reach any chance I can so I can focus on my older son and play and give him the attention. It just seems like he’s super sweet and loving then all the sudden out of no where trying to hurt the baby. Somethings I know he doesn’t do on purpose he’s still just learning how to be gentle and doesn’t realize how gentle he has to be around him, but other times it definitely seems like he knows he’s doing wrong. Just wondering if anyone’s been in a similar situation and how long it may take for my older one to adjust. I try and make sure I always say gentle or do nice when he’s close to the baby but it doesn’t seem to be setting in yet. Thanks for any stories or advice in advance!
