It would kind of depend. Is it a new relationship? Have we had an actual conversation about where we stand with each other? Do his parents have an issue with us being together? 
If I were in an established relationship with someone, made it official, I would be pretty irked at being called a “friend” to his family without a really good reason. I wouldn’t jump straight to breaking up, but I would be having a serious conversation.

I’d ask why he did that and the status of your relationship. That’s hurtful if you had been exclusively dating, I’d be hesitant how serious we were and if he saw a future together

Depends on how long we have been dating, and who it is. I dated a guy that after years always introduced me as a friend and went off on me for touching his arm in front of his friend as if he was embarrassed. Yeap, broke up with him. Glad I did.

Some of my family racist and some doesn't believe in the LGBT so if they were part of that I would say friends cus I dont want or need that kind of drama and it's just easier for the other person
