I got a depo shot ONE TIME exactly a year ago and it messed everything up. Months without a period or bleeding every other week. My doctor prescribed birth control pills for 3 months to regulate things. Has anyone ever had to do this after the depo? Has it worked?

Feeling so sad because that’s 3 months I’m for sure out.

And feeling conflicted because everything I’ve read says it only stays in the system about a year. And I’ve hit that mark by now.
