Foley Bulb?

Question

Does anyone have experience with this being induced? I’m being induced Wednesday and they said they’d most likely start me with that if I’m still only 1cm dilated which I’m sure I will be😬 I’ll be 40 weeks and 6 days then.

I was induce last week on Wednesday, I hated it! It was so painful and uncomfortable. I almost had real tears getting in inserted. Didn’t last long as I must have pushed it out once I went to the bathroom. So doctors gave me Pitocin to get me pass my 5cm. They did start me with a pill to start contraction prior to this I was 1cm and slowly increased dosage over time.

I was induced with on last week Monday and I personally had a wonderful induction. My first I had a failed induction with cervidil. That method was awful! I couldn't be more pleased with this last experience! Good luck momma! My only piece of advice is to walk the halls (if your allowed) as much at you can while you have it in. The bulb can take 2-8 hours to fall out. Mine came out after about 4 hours, but I did a ton of walking during that time.

They put one in me yesterday around 5pm when I was 1cm. Finally today around 12:30pm they took it out and I was 6cm!
They did start me on 1 round of cervidil and then 2 rounds of cytotec first before the foley bulb though

I was induced with my first. They tried 2 separate medications(multiple doses of each) to ripen the cervix over 2 days....neither worked. So as last resort Doc decided to go with the foley balloon... idk how anyone else’s experience was with it but I didn’t feel a thing lol My doctor offered the epidural before she placed the foley so I took it. I had already been in labor for 2 days....Apparently it can be a little uncomfortable becAuse it manually inflates your cervix to 4cm. Once your at a 4, they’ll come in to take it out and it pretty much just falls out. After the doc took it out, she broke my water and they cranked up the pitocin. I had my girl that same evening.
