Can you ask for a membrane sweep @ 39+5??

I want to know if you can ask for a membrane sweep at almost 40 weeks? I don’t want to go through induction like I did with my first. Especially since the virus is making hospitals change rules almost everyday it seems like. Just curious if that is possible and if it is how was your experience??? I’m 39+2 today, appointment is on Thursday

I got one today at 39 & 6. Still nothing really just a little cramping. I was 2 cm dilated, 70% effaced & cervix was said to be ripe... fingers crossed I go soon. My first I didn’t go until 40 & 3. So we shall see.

I go to the doctor on Wednesday I’ll be 39+3 and i planned on asking for one i had one with my baby and i was in labor hours later. I am trying to get in and out of the hospital as quick as possible

You sure can. My doctor scheduled me to get one at 40+3. Not sure if I should or shouldn't though because I'm getting induced at 41 weeks 🤔

I asked for one at 37w5d and they gave me one. I also asked for another at 38w4d. Neither worked but I gave birth at 39w1d

i had an appointment today (39+3) and asked about a sweep. she said she would do it but then she checked my cervix and i’m not dilated at all so she couldn’t do it!
