Late period but negative pregnancy test!!

My period is a couple days late which rarely happens to me.. but every pregnancy test I take is negative. My boobs and nipples are also a little sore.

We have been trying to get pregnant for a few months so it would be awesome if I was, but I'm so confused cause the tests are negative.
