Who should take care of baby in the mornings? (Read description)

If your husband works from 1pm-11pm 6/7 days out of the week and you’re a SAHM should you wake up and take care of the baby in the mornings or should he?

My personal opinion there's should be equal sharing of responsibility of course but SAHM should pick it up most of the time.

This is literally the SAHM’s job. I’m a stay at home mom. If my husband was working 2nd shift I’d let him sleep, but once he’s awake he’s responsible for 50% of everything that goes on in the house. My fiance works 8-5, so we go to bed and wake at about the same time. On weekends we switch off and one gets to sleep in one day and the other gets to sleep in the next.

In my opinion if he works and you don’t then it’s your responsibility. He probably has to wake up early for work anyway and get ready anyway so you should take care of the baby while he does that.

If he works til 11pm, I would get up early with the baby and have him take over when he wakes up. On his days off I would have him get up with the baby so I get a little break, or once/twice a week if he doesn’t have a day off.

I mean it’s kind of your job as a SAHM but everyone needs a break once in a while so once in a while is fair.

Too many factors to consider. How old is the baby, do they sleep through the night? If this kid is going to bed at 8pm waking up at 6am I would say mom gets the 6am shift as her time ‘off’ starts at 8pm. Especially if dad isn’t going to sleep till 1-2am being on that shift. Now if the baby is getting up every hour, dad should clock in once he’s home from work 11:30ish and let mom sleep 6 hours then swap off. But ultimately mom gets the AM shift after dad takes the overnight.

Just being honest here, if you’re a stay at home mom that’s literally what you’re to be doing.  Why should he get up and do all of this when you’re literally living your day to day life to take care of baby. If he wants to sure that’s a plus, but you shouldn’t be expecting him too. You literally aren’t doing anything at home so 🤷🏽‍♀️

Depends, what time does baby wake up? And what time does dad need to sleep until in order to feel well-rested for his job? That’s a late shift and it would be very unfair to expect him to wake up at 7am or something to take care of baby AND then be out until 11pm at work. But if hes up that early anyway or baby sleeps later, that makes sense for him to help out.

Literally if you're a SAHM that's your job. It shouldn't even be a question of who takes care of the baby. Smh. 
Reminds me of a post one SAHM made, saying get husband works full time, then she makes him cook, clean, and take care of the kids after work because she "needs personal time." This shit cracks me up. I feel so bad for these husbands...
