Doctor appts during this coronavirus outbreak ?

I’m really worried about this whole coronavirus but my baby has a check up he has to go to April 7 should I still take him or wait it out a little longer ughhh I’m stressing out and my anxiety is through the roof w all this 😫😓

So my mom is an rn with the pediatric specialists and i asked her.  My daughter turned three months today so it will be beginning of may when she's due. My mother told me to absolutely put it off even though it's vaccines.  They'll just get her on a different vaccination schedule. They are moving nurses around so you may get a nurse that was handling sick kids yesterday and now doing well baby visits today. They are having well baby visits in the morning but sick kids in the afternoon.  That's great but your still exposing baby to adults/ parents who may be sick or not yet have symptoms. She knows one nurse whos niece and nephew were waiting test results for it. They sent that nurse to cover at the pediatric office.  There's a nurse in my mom's office still working while waiting on her own results! Medical professionals don't get to stay home until they test positive and if they are treating covid patients they still work after testing positive for as long as they can. My baby is going no where near a drs office unless it's an emergency until this calms down.

I canceled an apt we had today. Only because it wasn’t a crucial one, just a follow up. Use your own digression, your mother instincts are probably correct

I’m not going to check ups with my daughter. Only when she has a vaccination. I’m not going to risk it. Especially because everything is going good with her. I am going to ask for a consult by phone just because I have some questions but I won’t take her in

I’m waiting until it gets closer... ours is on the 10th. But the vaccines are boosters for what they got at 2m, so not sure if it’s wise to delay them? I plan on asking if I don’t feel comfortable taking her by then

My pediatric clinic is doing a lot to make sure it's safe - they are doing curbside or home visits for kids with symptoms of Covid-19, segregating sick care and well care, sanitizing everything, and you can call when you arrive and wait in the car until they're ready for you. Our little one isn't 4 months until the beginning of May, so I won't have to decide for a while, but I think if I needed to I would bring her in now and just be extra cautious!
