It's my due date today and I am so anxious 😢
I had my 40 week appointment on Monday, got a sweep booked for the 3rd April and an induction booked for the 8th but with everything going on at the moment with COVID-19 I am so worried that childbirth is taking a back seat from everything else.
Already been told I can only have 1 birthing partner, who is only allowed to stay for the labour and birth, and we have a 19 month old that we were planning to leave with my dad who is healthy but almost 70 so I worry I am putting his safety at risk.
No one will be able to see my baby in the flesh or give her cuddles for weeks...I won't be able to take her for weigh ins, any classes or have one-to-one with her as my son's not at nursery during this time (we are not key workers) and I just feel so bad for my baby being born into this 😢
Has anyone given birth recently? What was it like? Are they rushing you in and out, is it still special, do they care as much, etc?
