I don’t think anyone needs a reason to not shower daily. Showering daily isn’t necessary, dries out your skin, and strips your hair of its natural oils. I think making people feel bad for not showering everyday is bullshit and makes you an asshole. And mothers? Shit if they shower once a week I give them props

i mean my dermatologist told me not to shower daily unless i get dirty. but my skin is super dry & eczema prone. so i don’t think everyone needs to shower daily

Any reason not to shower daily is valid for the person doing it. They don't need to justify whether they shower daily or not to someone else.

I shower 2x a day. First to start my morning and then finally to end my day. To me that’s my personal time to gather my thoughts and reflect on my day. Children or not. I also use body oil after every shower to lock in moisture.

I mean, most days I don’t even think about showering. I’m too wrapped up in taking care of my baby and our home. We also live in an RV full time and I hate showering in our rig, so I use the community showers in our RV park and I don’t like taking him in there now that he’s starting to get mobile and we’re supposed to be social distancing. So, I typically only shower when my husband is home to watch the baby. And it’s also not good for my hair or skin for me to shower everyday, so I don’t feel that bad about it 😂

Showering daily can be bad for your skin and hair depending on the person. 
But new motherhood isn't a reason to not shower. It's a valid explanation as to why you haven't gotten around to it, but it's not a reason to opt out of it.

Does it happen that I can’t shower everyday because of motherhood? Yes of course. But sometimes that shower is the only 5-10 minutes I get to do something just for me so you can bet I’m making it a priority!

I shower every other day if I’m lucky. My daughter hates to be put down and screams the entire time I’m showering, so they usually only last 2-3 minutes anyway.
