To me lust sounds so negative. I have always heard of lust being purely sexual with no romantic feelings. 
If you’re asking how long attraction lasts, that depends on the couple and what they are willing to put into the relationship. Marriages don’t work if no one (or only 1 person) puts in effort. Not that it has to be difficult. Effort could just be spending time together and making the other person feel important. I choose to love my husband, and I choose to be attracted to him. Some of it (most actually) just comes naturally, but I also make a conscious choice about it.

I don’t think the lust fades, at least not for me. The honeymoon phase does end. Ours lasted about two years - the second year we went through some hard times and I think that took its toll on us. We’re also both much busier now than when we met, so now oftentimes sleep will be the priority or work or self care as opposed to in the honeymoon phase when you just constantly want to be getting it on lol. It’s not to say that we don’t want that now, bc I for one am constantly in the mood lol. It’s just we know we have the rest of our lives and know we need to prioritize other things.
