I’m interested in a vbac and my provider is known for being vbac supportive. However there’s going to be 16 months between my csection and my due date. I’ve heard some doctors won’t even consider it if it’s anything less than 18 months. Should I not even get my hopes up or is it possible that she allow it?

🙋‍♀️ CS to VBAC 15.5 months. I'm in a VBAC group on FB and have seen many women have a successful VBAC less than 12 months later. You can do it!

I've read 12 months since last c-section so if you want a VBAC ask. You never know.

I had a repeat csection a year and 3 months after my first csection and my doctor had told me my scar had healed perfectly and could have done vbac . I suggest doing research and talking to your ob . I didn’t I was just scared cause I heard of uterus tearing and decided to do repeat

I personally wouldn’t. My dr said min was 18 months and my kids are 18 months 1 day apart. However I knew someone who had the same gap and ended up with a uterine rupture while attempting Vbac so it scared me! Trying for 3rd now and hoping for vba2c! It will be more than 3 years this time so I feel a lot more comfortable, but if your provider is supportive and it’s what you really want that go for it and just be aware of the risks!
