What is induction like?

36+5, my doc is monitoring me for high blood pressure and she said they may induce if things keep moving the direction they have been. I’ve heard a little about it, but nothing good. Anyone been through it before?

Induction pains are worse than labour pains, that's the only thing I remember being told by a midwife 8yrs ago, my consultant will be inducing me should I go over my due date 😬😬 xx

I got induced with my last baby and it only took 4 hrs and he was out. It all happened so fast i didnt have time for meds. I would do it again if i had too. The pains were intense but i got through it.

For me it was mentally trying and then physically exhausting... they start with a cervix softener (cytotec or cervadil) 
They swept my membranes without really telling me that’s what they were doing ... thus started contractions.
Then started pitocin which I had for 10 min and promptly asked for an epidural.
My body really didn’t respond to it well and neither did baby. Ended up with a c section

I just delivered this morning. I was going for a 2VBA2C, so I was limited in my options. Cook balloon placed Friday night, came out Saturday morning. Then I did a low and slow Pitocin drip. Literally bumping it up one mL per hour. I stalled around 5 cm, baby wasn’t engaging very low. Got the epidural. The night nurse turned my Pitocin up from a 12 to an 18 early Sunday morning and my water broke. I had her at 8:55 am. Epidural didn’t work completely so I ended up feeling the entire vaginal delivery. Goodness gracious, the pain. You got this tho mama!
