Mamas with babies 17 months apart. Would you do it again? 🤔

My oldest is 2.5 my second is 7 months old and we're thinking about trying for baby #3 🤭

I had a pregnancy scare when my son was 8 months and it made me realize how much I definitely wouldn’t want my kids that close in age, I would of felt so bad for my son and I just want to enjoy him and give him all my love, we also wouldn’t be able to do it financially especially with all this stuff going on right now with covid 19

I'm currently in this boat. My boys are 14 months apart. I'm now 27 weeks with my third because my birth control failed. Theres going to be 18 months between the new baby and my second. I wont lie. I'm stressed, I'm exhausted, and I am not really sure how I'm going to manage 3 under 3. I try not to think too far ahead because it will just give me more anxiety. Yeah they constantly have a playmate and entertain each other but that's also a lot of diapers, a lot of fights, kids in toddler stages (terrible twos and treacherous threes) at the same time. I love my kids, I really do. I just wish they were more spread out.

I’m pregnant with #2, my kids will be 20 months apart. My cousin has three boys all 17 months apart. He said the first couple years suck, but once they’re potty trained, they’re easier and best friends!

1st and 2and are 21 months apart
2nd and 3rd are 20 months apart
3rd and 4th baby with be almost 5 years apart. That's what scares me with that gap i will be starting all over. 😬

I have heard good and bad of it. My mom told me to never do that haha. My oldest 2 brothers are 17 months apart. She was also 20 then and didn’t have access to things like we do now, whether it be technology, information, or just places to take them (my family lived about 20 miles from the closest town, and she was without a vehicle during the day while my dad worked.)
But I have also heard the upside of them being best friends when they are a little older. But they can also have intense sibling rivalry too. 
I think just trying to foster togetherness would help with that.

I loved that my girls grew up close but if I could go back, I’d push it just a bit further.  I felt like my first didn’t get enough one on one attention long enough.  My second was colicky with it was difficult dealing with a 1 year old constantly waking to the cries of the newborn.  I barely remember my second’s first year because of the total exhaustion.  I waited 14 years to have a third because of it 😬
