Reading strategies for kids

Hey ladies, I have a 5 y/o with predominant ADHD, I cannot get her to focus for the life of me, what are ways to teach her how to read? It kills me because she’s not confident in herself, I’m not sure if that has something to do with her dads house and having older step siblings that tease her or if it’s just her being shy, however she does get frustrated quite fast.

I try to boost her confidence by celebrating her small milestones. But if y’all have any ideas on how I can boost her confidence up as well I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance. ☺️☺️
