Inducing, what’s your experience?

I’m being induced at 40 weeks exactly. I was checked at 38 weeks for dilation and I was barely 1cm. I’m very nervous about this induction. Has anyone been induced and been barely dilated? What’s your experience? Did anyone have to have a csection? I really don’t wanna end up having one. That freaks me out. I’m worrying myself sick over it!

Induced after being at 4 cm for a week and baby in distress with the cord around his neck. I didn’t progress at all at first until they changed to a pitocin iv. I had an epidural which was amazing. All went well. Good luck!

I was induced with all 4 of my kids, they said it’s a lot more painful then if your water broke but all 4 were induced so wouldn’t say if the pain is worst or not but it is very painful I feel like I displayed very fast after being induced with all 4

I was a little dilated for my induction (maybe 2-3cm) with my second and his birth was way smoother and much less painful than my non-induced delivery with my first. I got an epidural early in the induction process and that helped a lot.
