NT scan, yay or nay?

So, I’m on the fence if I should do the NT scan or not. My anxiety has been kicking in lately and I want to be able to see my baby before 20 weeks and this would be my only chance. I want to know the results but at the same time I’m scared to know. 
Any advice or reasons why you were glad you did or didn’t do it?

Do it. I don’t see any reason not to?
It’s standard prenatal care.

 And youll even get to find out the gender

I did NIPT which all came back normal so I’m opting out of the NT scan.

I’ve done it with my other two pregnancies and will do it with this one. It’s always reassuring to know baby is healthy.

We didn’t do it with baby #1 and aren’t doing it with baby#2. It wouldn’t change anything for us right now and we are low risk for any issues. 💕 just trusting the process for now and we will find out at 20 weeks if all looks good

I decided to definitely do the scan and then see if I needed or wanted to do the blood work to follow up. I'm a healthy 31 year old with no genetic abnormalities in either mine or my husband's families. Unfortunately, my NT came back high at 3.1mm, they found trace edema around the abdomen (seems subjective from different doctors we've talked to now), and had a hard time finding the nasal bone (although it is there!). I was alone at this appointment due to coronavirus, and was just beside myself with grief. The doctor had me very concerned, and advised it would be good to do the CVS test, which I was all for; for my husband and I, we'd rather know definitely if there is something wrong and be able to go from there if needed. So, they got me in the next day (Wed) for the test and I had results on Thurs....all came back negative!! Such an emotional few days, and still is. BUT, we are so glad for the scan to have knowledge and understanding of what is going on. I would do it again...albeit reluctantly given how ours went and how extremely emotional it was-it was still worth it to know. Annnd baby was so cute and precious up on the screen!! ❤️

i didn’t do it because last time i did it at 11 weeks i ended up miscarrying a week later even though she tested negative for everything and insurance doesn’t cover it either if you’re not high risk. i’m 24 so i’m not overly concerned

I’m 31 and I’m doing it. I’ll be 14 weeks when the scan is done and I guess it’s for peace of mind but the test is only about 70% accurate so 🤷🏼‍♀️. Being pregnant is literally worrying 24/7 at least for me

I wasn’t able to because my appointment was cancelled due to coronavirus. Now I’m all kinds of anxious. 😢
