Tampon question

What does S+ mean on a tampon wrapper mean? I’m 14 and kind of new to tampons and periods but need them because I’m in cheer and dance. Last month when I was on my period and needed a tampon, a friend helped me out but she was older and a senior, and I’m just a freshman. The tampon didn’t insert as easily as the other ones I use do. It was a much tighter fit. And it hurt like hell coming out too, very painful. I’m so embarrassed to ask, but it hurt so much that I wanna make sure I did nothing wrong. The only thing that was different was what was on the wrapper. I hope someone can help me figure out what S+ means? Like I said I’m only 14 and haven’t had my period that long-i got it when I was 13. Sorry this is so long and for the dumb question
