I caught my bf sexting and old gf of his a few months ago and he says its not cheating and I say hell yes it is! He quit doing it after our first initial argument but we still continue to argue and have stress in our relationship because of it and I must say there has been some definite trust loss in the process. What do I do? and how do I deal?

Okay. This is gonna be long. A bit over a year ago, almost the same thing happened to me. Quick summary: I was at work and one of my friends under a fake number sent me screenshots because he was friends with the girl. She didn’t know my bf had me. She felt really terrible about it and stopped immediately after finding out. I had to actually add her on Snapchat and talk with her to find out what really happened because he kept telling me lies about it after I had confronted him initially. 
   As for whether it’s cheating? Absolutely yes. Sharing intimate parts of yourself or agreeing to receive them from someone that’s outside of your relationship is a massive breach of trust, respect, and dignity in the relationship. 
   As for what you should do? It very much depends on you. For my story, I told him that he’d lost my trust and if he wanted me to stay he’d have to promise me he’d work his ass off to get it back, and I’d be willing to forgive, but not forget. I let him know immediately that if that or anything like that (hooking up with someone, more nudes, receiving nudes, etc) happened again, it didn’t matter the status of our relationship (still dating or married or otherwise), i would immediately leave with no regrets. He said he would, he regretted everything, and that he loved me and still does. The cheating happened in May 2018 (for about two weeks a week before my birthday), I found out about it April 2019, and today we are still together. He’s working hard every day to let me know that he loves me and only me, and that he doesn’t want or desire anyone else. I asked him to stop talking to her and block her on everything, and he did. He doesn’t like it when I go through his phone, but he lets me and answers all my questions with (I believe) honesty. More than a year later, I’m still trying to heal from it, but in that time, we’ve also created some of my fondest memories, and I really do believe he loves me. 
   My advice? Tell him to stop talking to her, explain to him that it is in fact cheating and it’s caused you a lot of hurt. If he’s worth keeping around, he’ll at the very least apologize and agree to not talk to her anymore. If he continues to argue that it’s not cheating and you’re overreacting, for your sake, please get out of that relationship. That would mean he completely lacks all respect for you and what a relationship should be, and he’s still a boy, not a man. That said, you should also take a moment away from him to breathe and decide if it’s worth the healing process for you to go through, not just because of how you feel about him, but also how he shows you he feels about you. Stay strong girl. I know it’s rough, but with balance of respect for yourself and forgiveness (with time) you’ll come out of this shining even brighter than before. ❤️

Everyone is saying just leave, but what I would say is; talk to him. Express your feelings and why that hurt you. Tell him you now can’t trust him and he will have to earn the trust back. If he’s okay with letting you go through his phone and doing things to allow you to trust him again and then do that! It’s all about communication and regaining trust!
