Right now im on a leave of absence. I go back on April 29th. If my doctor was to take me out longer(im going to ask on the 14th) would that count as my maternity leave starting. Or would i get short term disability and then my maternity leave start the day i had the baby. I get 4 months paid and im worried about how it would affect my leave and my time home with the baby since they only offer 4 months for maternity leave. The leave i am on now is an emergency leave so it doesnt affect my maternity leave, but it could affect how much a get paid.
