Hospital bags-a large duffle bag for mom normal?

It is usual
to bring a large duffle
bag for Mom to the hospital? It’s heavy but I can’t fit what I need in a smaller
one-am I alone with this?

I over packed so much and didn’t use half of it but at least I know I had everything. I had a big bag and baby had another bag. You can never be to prepared!

I don’t think it’s unusual. But I also doubt you’ll use 90% of what you have in the bag. But that’s ok.

This is the list my hospital actually advises to pack. Would have thought they’d provide nappies 🤔 but have mine packed accordingly

Since I plan on being there for only 2 days now (due to COVID) I’m bringing a huge duffle including deodorant, toothbrush and an outfit for my husband and have a large tote for the baby’s stuff. Decided not to bring the diaper bag in fear of any germs (wont be able to wash it) so safer to bring the tote that can be washed. Good to go ;)

You really don’t need much. The hospital provides practically everything for the baby and even aftercare for mom. Hospital stays with no complication pregnancies are usually 2-3 days what do you REALLY need? Your toiletries/haircare, robe, slippers, going home outfit for yourself and baby, charger/phone/insurance cards/ID, car seat... and anything else you want to make yourself comfortable. I’d rather have a big bag to bring home all the diapers and formula they give! Good luck!!!
