PCOS help - Newby
Hi everyone - this may be a little long so I appreciate everyone that reads and can give me any tips/info.
I recently started going to a new doctor after struggling with irregular cycles and a miscarriage in August 2018. I have been going through a list of infertility tests to narrow down what could be the issue with trying to conceive.
I have recently been diagnosed with PCOS and have started taking metaformin. I started with 500 MG about two weeks ago and will move up to 1000MG tomorrow. I will have to go back to flush my tubes to make sure I do not have a blockage but once that is confirmed my doctor will be starting me on Letrozole.
My doctor informed me that all of my levels were great except my AMH which can be connected to PCOS and I have a lot of small follicles on my ovaries.
I have a few questions if anyone has any info.
- has anyone taken Metaformin and had bad side effects?
-has anyone gotten pregnant just from taking metaformin?
-did taking letrozole help you conceive? How soon did you become pregnant?
-has anyone had high AMH levels?
Lastly, I have seen a lot of info regarding certain diets for PCOS and I would like to change my diet in hopes of it helping with ovulation. Does anyone have diet tips? What kind of diets do you follow, and/or what do you eat more/less?
I appreciate all of the help!!
