Okay so my boyfriend’s best friend that he’s known since high school and spends every waking moment that he’s not working or with me with, started calling me babe.

This has happened a couple times now. He’s joked around before about stuff like that. One time my boyfriend and he came to visit me at work and I told my boss “that’s my boyfriend” and she asked which one, to which both of them said “me”.

One time we were hanging out in the garage working on his motorcycle and he said “hey babe can you hand me that” like so casually and it really kind of threw me off 😅

And today I was leaving his house where the boys (my boyfriend, said guy, and another guy) were all hanging out. He came in while i was putting my coat on and said “you leaving babe?”

My boyfriend either doesn’t hear it or hasn’t acknowledged it at all, which leads me to believe he doesn’t really care. Or it pisses him off and he doesn’t want to say anything in front of me, idk.

My boyfriend and I have been together for a year and I’ve been hanging out with him and this particular friend for about 5 months now. Really only this past month is when this started happening. I’m hoping it just means he’s becoming comfortable around me and accepts me as a friend and nothing more.
