Waking baby to eat

My 3 week old baby is starting to sleep longer stretches (3/4hrs).

I was waking him to eat the first 2 weeks but now I want to let him sleep and wake naturally.

What is everyone else doing?

If he's back up to birth weight, you can let him sleep.

My baby is too good of a sleeper, so I’ve been waking him up. At night, I let him go for one 5-6 hour stretch, followed by a 3-4 hour stretch. I usually have to wake him up after both stretches, as he doesn’t wake up on his own. I’m tempted to let him go longer just to see how long he would sleep, but I’m worried he’d end up starving and that it would negatively affect my milk supply (not to mention my boobs would be killing me after more than 5-6 hours).

I let mine sleep and he lets me know when he wants a feed, my little man starts making noises about 20-30 mins before he wakes which usually gives me a head start on making and cooling his bottle

I’ve let him sleep since day one. He’s always woken often. Only. A few nights have we had a 5+ hour sleep.
