Has anybody worn a mask to their baby scan?

I’m so nervous about going to the hospital for my 20 weeks scan in May. I’ve been thinking about wearing some surgical gloves and maybe a mask too. Not sure yet Just wondering if anyone else has? And if they were allowed as I know the government is getting funny with people wearing them. What do you think? Will ignore any nasty comments as there always seems to be at least one now.. thanks ☺️

It’s mandatory where I am in NJ. You go to your appointment alone, temp check, mask/gloves check, and screening questions all at the door before you can even enter the waiting room.
You should 100% be wearing a mask and gloves!

I wore one to my ultrasound and they actually encouraged it at my hospital for safety reasons.

Check with your doctor but I’d say not to bother with gloves and just keep hand sanitizer with you. Once you touch something with those gloves they need to be taken off and a new pair put on otherwise you’re just cross contaminating

I’ve worn a mask during peak flu season for a couple of years because I’m immune compromised, so really the only difference now is that people don’t look at me funny. The receptionist at the clinic thanked me for wearing a mask and they still took extra precautions - only half the seating in the waiting room and no provider came in to see me. There were also no doors for me to touch - everything was open or automatic.

The mask is totally fine to wear and CDC recommended. I wouldn’t wear gloves though. You would literally not be able to touch anything with them, or would have to change them every time you touched something. Just don’t touch your face while you’re out and wash your hand really good!

I started wearing a mask to my OBGYN appts about 4 weeks ago. Now everyone at the clinic wears one - the doctor, the receptionists, assistants, and all other patients come wearing masks. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m in New Jersey where the coronavirus spread is pretty bad.

My doctors office is in the hospital in our town. My appointment was Friday and they checked my temperature before they would let me in and if you didn’t have a mask on they gave you one. No visitors allowed with me.
